This is a sauce that is served with ssam. Ssam is greens (lettuce or
steamed cabbage, commonly), served with rice, meat, and ssamjang.
- 2 T. green onion, finely minced
- 1 t. minced garlic
- 1 T. dark sesame oil
- Dash of freshly ground black pepper
- 5 oz. dwenjang (soybean paste)
- 1 T. kochujang (hot bean paste)
- 1 T. sugar
- 1 T. sesame seeds
- 1 T sweet rice wine
The dwenjang and kochujang will be hard to come by unless you go to a
Korean specialty shop.
Mix well. Makes 1 cup.
