No Class Peanut Butter Bombs

My sister Miran used to make something like these when I was a kid, and I think she called 'em buckeyes. This is a different version of the recipe, but it's pretty much the same idea.

  1. In a large bowl, mix:
    • 18 oz (a jar of) creamy peanut butter
    • 1 stick margarine (I suppose you could use butter, but it's really not necessary)
    • 3 cups rice krispies
    • 16 oz (a box of) powdered sugar
  2. In a double-boiler (or over low heat, stirring often), melt:
    • 16 oz milk chocolate (ok, if you want to inject some class into it, you can use some nicer chocolate)
    • 1/2 stick paraffin wax (!!) (available in the baking goods section, as I recall... it's been a while since I made these)
  3. form peanut butter stuff into small (1 in. diameter or so) balls and dip in chocolate/wax. Chill on a wax-paper (or foil) covered sheet.
Makes 40-50 sugar death bombs.
