Garlic Noodles

These are intended to be similar to the noodles you can get at a Vietnamese restaurant.


  • 1/2 lb. pasta
  • 4 T. sweet butter
  • 1/2 t. salt (you can skip or reduce this if you use salted butter)
  • crushed red pepper to taste (I use a few dashes)
  • 5-10 cloves of garlic


  1. Cook the pasta and drain.
  2. Melt butter in a large saute pan over low heat.
  3. Add salt, red pepper, and the garlic (minced or pressed). Make sure not to burn the garlic (hence the low heat).
  4. After a few minutes, add the noodles to the pan and toss, coating with the garlic butter.
  5. Serve once the noodles have been thoroughly coated.
